About our Speaker, Jim Downing:

Jim Downing is a Senior Vice President for Fidelity Investments. In his role, Jim shares Fidelity’s insight and research around retirement plans with Financial Advisors, Consultants, and Plan Sponsors. Jim has been with Fidelity for over 20 years, has an undergrad degree from James Madison and an MBA from Georgetown. His is also a CFA charter holder.

Program Description:

This program will educate retirement plan administrators and sponsors about industry best practices to build effective and engaging employer sponsored retirement plans that will engage and assist their employees so they can achieve financial security when they retire.  Participants will receive data points from over 1000 plan sponsors who were interviewed, gaining insights on best practices implemented by HR and Finance professionals serving as plan administrators for their employer sponsored plans.  Participants will hear what changes industry leaders have made to turn unsuccessful plans into successful retirement plans and programs that attract participants and provide benefits appealing to them. 

 Learning Objectives: 

·         Learn from thought leaders about the latest best practices being implemented by organizations. 

·         Gain insights on what plan administrators should keep top of mind when building and making changes to their retirement plan. 

·         Hear best practices of what other organizations are doing to implement plans that are attractive and will help their employees. 

·         Receive highlights around recent legislative changes enacted around retirement plans and what steps other organizations are taking to help improve employee outcomes.
