Cybersecurity HR Talk with MRW

Quick outline of what we plan to discuss.

What is often an organization’s greatest cybersecurity vulnerability? Research shows that it is
often its employees. That is because most employees lack adequate cybersecurity training. As a
result, employees can open the cyber front door for criminal criminals.

However, with HR’s involvement during the development of cybersecurity strategies, this
problem becomes less and less.

In our talk, we plan to discuss the best practices surrounding cybersecurity and HR. Our
discussion will cover the following:

• Business risk & liability during a cybersecurity attack.
• How to conduct Cybersecurity Awareness Training for employees.
• How to better secure employee data, like W2 forms.
• How to safely onboard and terminate an employee.
• The top cybersecurity policies every company should have in place, and how the HR
department can enforce those policies.
At the beginning of our talk, we plan to hand out a Cybersecurity Checklist for HR professionals.
We also plan to use PowerPoint for visuals.
At the end of the presentation, we would like to have a Q&A - though, we are also happy to ask
questions throughout the discussion.

History of MRW Systems

have been servicing small and mid-size businesses across the Mid-Atlantic, from Maryland,
Virginia, Pennsylvania to Washington DC.

Driven by his passion for Technology, Michael Wolinski
founded MRW Systems, a Maryland IT company, in 1997
after spending over a decade in Corporate IT Departments
and as CIO of several companies.

Every day he brings his knowledge and enthusiasm to his
clients and his staff in pursuit of his dream of being a great
IT company.

In the cybersecurity front, Michael is a Certified Information
Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Ethical
Hacker (CEH), and a CMMC registered practitioner.
